FALL BUCKETLIST

Hey Loves!

I’ve mentioned on YouTube Channel (Brianna K) and Instagram (@bitsofbri) about my Fall Bucketlist for 2018, so I wanted to share my full list of fun things to do this fall.

  • Apple Orchard- We love to go to apple picking with the kids! Or as Landon has called it, “apple hunting.” 😂
  • Hayride- There’s a fun fall festival at Mapleside Farms every year where the kids can go on a hayride and tractor pull ride. They love it! It’s so much fun!
  • Hayslide- At Mapleside Farms, there is also the world’s longest Hayslide, where you ride in potato sacks down a steep hill into the apple orchard. This was the first year Presley got to ride on it, and we had so much fun! Landon didn’t want us to stop.
  • Pumpkin Patch- Fall could not be complete without going to the pumpkin patch and picking out pumpkins with the kids.
  • Decorate the Front Porch- I love putting out my pumpkins and mums out front, and this year I went with some neutral colored pumpkins and all wine and purple mums, and I loved the look of it! I might have to replicate that again in the future.
  • Fall family photos- This year we took pictures in an old truck, and they turned out so cute! I love having seasonal ones to display every time I change the decor around my house, which I do every season and holiday!
  • Not-So-Scary Movie Night- Landon has recently been so interested in Harry Potter, so we have been reading the first book, and we watched the first movie together, and he’s since asked to watch it almost every day, so I think we’ve watched it three times already at this point. But I love putting on PJs (these brother sister skeleton pajamas are my favorite for the kids this year), making popcorn and snacks and cuddling up under a blanket to watch one of my favorite movies.
  • Halloween Costume Party- We’re lucky that our friends throw a fun fall party where the kids wear costumes, but we also love going to the Boo At the Zoo Costume Party here in Cleveland! I would highly recommend taking your little ones if you live in the Cleveland area. And our costumes just came in the mail last week- I can’t wait for you to see what we’re being!
  • Halloween at Disney– We’re huge Disney nuts (we honeymooned there, and the kids have been to Disneyland and Disney World every year since they’ve been born), but we’ve never gone during Fall to see the Halloween decorations. We went to Disneyland, it was so cute! I am already wanting to plan a trip for next Fall.
  • Haunted House- This would be a fun date night for me and Adam, but I loved going to the Haunted Houses back in high school. Such an excuse to cuddle as you walk through a creepy house.
  • Pumpkin Spice Lattes- It wouldn’t be Fall without having one of these! Personally, I’m not the biggest PSL lover (it tastes different to me all of a sudden, not sure if my tastes have changed), so I’ve discovered that 2 pumps vanilla and 2 pumps pumpkin spice tastes better to me!
  • Eat Caramel Apples- This is my personal favorite. Caramel Apples are one of my favorite desserts, and they are always the best in the fall! At Disneyland with my friend Tara and her family, we got these fancy Disney-inspired chocolate and caramel apples twice, and she couldn’t believe I could eat the whole thing because they were HUGE. But, I seriously love them!
  • Trick-or-Treating- With the kids, we love taking them around the neighborhood for some treats. And maybe we’ll do the Jimmy Kimmel I told my kid I ate all their Halloween candy and film it again this year. Landon was a pretty good sport last year…

What are some of your favorite things to do in the fall? Please comment so we can all get more fun ideas to add to the bucket list for this year or next year!

I agree with the PSL! I used to drink them when they first came out, before they were a fall must have, and they were so good. The last few years seems they changed something. I actually get a Vanilla latte with 1 pump of pumpkin spice. Its cheaper since you arent paying for the name 😉

  5. Ah! I love the bucket list! Such great ideas. Thank you for sharing!

Mickey’s Nit So Scary Halloween party in Disney World is a MUST. We took our 3 sons too many times to count when they were younger. They’re 26, 22, and 18 now. And they’ve not outgrown there love of Disney. Book that trip for next fall. No regrets❣️

Oh I just love all of these ideas!
You’re such an inspiration. I love your vlogs and blog. I love taking my child (now children) to the pumpkin patch. They have big inflatable bouncers where we live, hayrides, corn mazes, huge slides, and more! It’s amazing! My son is 2 now and can finally enjoy it all, but we haven’t been this year.
I also love to go to county fairs, but I think my kids are just still too young.

Hey Bri- just a heads up that your latest blog post and back posts don’t show up when you click on “blog” in the header navigation. Only the Welcome message. You have to dig for your latest post, especially in mobile, when it seems like this would be the logical place to find them. I work in eComm and UX so this is my everyday world and just didn’t want you to be missing out on engagement, if you can make that tweak I think it will help people find your posts faster. Also when you hover over the options in your nav the pointer changes from the arrow (indicating clickable) to a cursor. The cursor is a confusing hover state for consumers, it doesn’t feel clickable! Best of luck on your new blog!

Isn’t there a maple syrup festival up near Painesville/Mentor area? Of course that was years ago when I was a kid…. but I always loved visiting my Aunt and Uncle and going there… Love the look of your blog! Hugs~ Lea

We are going for our hayride/ pumpkin picking this weekend and it is supposed to be chilly in NJ. I’m so excited! We did start a little bit of an odd tradition ( at least for Halloween anyway). We drive my daughter around on a Friday and look at some local houses that have really cool Halloween lights and setups. I know a lot of people do that for Christmas but so many people decorate for Halloween now , it’s reallg fun

Looking at this was so fun please continue to share .xoxo

Such fun ideas for fall! We do many of these same things! We also enjoy carving pumpkins, baking lots of yummy baked goods with apple and pumpkin, and going on scenic “river road” and “country” drives. Happy Fall! 🙂

I can’t believe I left out carving pumpkins! We’ll be doing that the week of Halloween 🙂
