Who else’s house is a complete wreck after the weekend? Or honestly just in general these days?? It’s so hard to keep up on it all! I’m doing an entire house clean with me for you today!! Let’s tidy up together!
I started by putting the dishes away because I swear they are never ending these days! I’ve been running the dishwasher at least once a day to try and stay on top of them as much as possible. Then I clean up our little coffee station and tidy up the rest of the kitchen. I wipe down all of the appliances, and then hop into the family room and fix all of the throw blankets and pillows. Over in our foyer area I straighten up the pillows on our bench and hang up any jackets that are out.
Upstairs I clean the kids bathroom first, putting away their towels that may have been left out and cleaning their mirror with the Method glass cleaner. I also wiped down their counter and all handles with clorox wipes. For their tub and sinks I clean those using the CLR bath and kitchen cleaner. I use the clorox toilet wands to clean our toilets! Once I’m done with their bathroom I then tidy up their bedrooms! I make their beds, put away any toys or laundry.
I then get a start of some laundry and head into our master bedroom to make our bed and vacuum the bedrooms and downstairs.
If you’ve been following me for a while you know how much I dread our “drop zone” it drives me nuts! I swear it always piles up the most random stuff and it’s right in our kitchen so it’s super satisfying to see it all cleaned up!
Make sure you’re taking extra care of cleaning your sinks and disinfecting your bathrooms since they’re probably getting a lot of extra use since we’re all at home! You want to make sure that you’re truly disinfecting! Once I make sure our kitchen sink is all clean, I also clean and disinfect our powder room.
One of my favorite cleaning products is my steam mop, I love it! It cleans and sanitizes your floors with just steam, no products necessary! You can use floor cleaner or essential oils just to make it smell good if you’d like!
