Hey Loves! Today I’m sharing mom hacks you can jump up and down about. I hope they make your life a little bit easier and add a little more fun too! These are five simple ways to make every day around your home less complicated- because what mom doesn’t want to keep it simple? And I hope if you try them, they brighten your day too!
Thank you to Cascade for sponsoring this blog post! I’m so excited to share their new Pure Essentials dish detergent pods with you today.
Some people love cleaning, some people don’t, but either way, if you want to keep up on your floors without it feeling like a chore, find 3 dance party songs you can turn up, and tackle cleaning your floors in about 10 minutes. You might need headphones if you’re vacuuming, but if your house is anything like ours, our home has crumbs on the floor or dust by the doorways on the daily. By turning on some upbeat tunes and vacuuming or mopping away, I clean the floors, burn some extra calories, and get in a better mood.
So this doesn’t really save your sheets, but it saves you time if you need to change them quickly. I’ve done this trick ever since Landon was born, but I layer a waterproof mattress protector, then a fitted sheet, then another waterproof mattress protector, then another fitted sheet. This way if your little one has an accident or project vomits in bed at night, it’s super easy to peel off the top fitted sheet and waterproof mattress pad, and have a clean sheet ready to go! This way you’re not struggling in the middle of the night to put on a fitted sheet.
Every season in my home, I change out the pillows and the throw blankets for a seasonally appropriate pop of color. It is the simplest way to make a big change to a room, and takes no time! All you need are some cute pillow covers or new throw pillows, and a colorful blanket, and your bed is decorated!
I’m always looking for natural products I can feel good about using when it comes to cleaning around my home, so I was so excited to partner up with Cascade on their new Cascade pure essentials dish detergent pods. Cleaning up toys every single day can be so draining! I decided to get a large, neutral basket for each kid that is in our family room, and those are the only toys they keep on the first floor of our home. They have books and a few stuffed animals in their rooms, and a play area in our basement, which I’m trying to declutter and KonMari as well. I am still amazed at how many toys they can fit into these, and how they can still make a mess, but it is a lot more manageable on a daily basis. And now that they are getting older, having them on the floor makes it super easy to involve them in cleaning up. Landon really likes this responsibility, and cleans up fast if we make it a game for who can put more toys in the basket. We also practice counting that way too.
Hope you enjoyed these 5 mom hacks for around your home. Let me know in the comments if you have any hacks or fun ways to make mom life easier! I’m so appreciative to have you in this community and part of my tribe.
