Hey loves! In today’s post I’m sharing with you how to deep clean your stove and your oven. I’m going to be using natural cleaning products, so this can be a chemical free clean for your oven and stove. I’ve certainly used other cleaning products to clean my home, but in places where I’m cooking food for my family, I try to go as natural as possible. So I hope you enjoy this deep cleaning series on my blog and on my YouTube channel. And I’ll go through all the cleaning supplies and steps so you can learn how to clean your oven and your stove top naturally in this blog post.

HOW TO DEEP CLEAN YOUR OVEN

  1. The first step is to create a baking soda paste with baking soda and water, and to apply this over the top of any crusted or baked on gunk inside of your oven, on the oven door, or on the stove top around the burners. I prefer to sprinkle on the baking soda to the top of the baked on gunk, then take a wet sponge and scrub the paste in a circular motion to loosen the gunk. Then, leave the baking soda paste on for at least 20 minutes.
  2. While the baking soda paste sets, I usually use this time to scrub the oven and stove grates in the sink.
  3. After 20 minutes have passed, take a paper towel (I usually make it slightly damp), and thoroughly wipe off the baking soda paste.
  4. If any remaining baked on gunk remains, either make another baking soda paste and let sit another 20 minutes until thoroughly removed, or take the knife or razor blade and scratch off the crusted on gunk.
  5. Next, wet paper towels with vinegar, and wipe out the entire oven. Wipe the entire stove top with vinegar. You can also use vinegar to wipe down stainless steel knobs or facings, so you can can have a sparkling clean and shiny oven and stove!
