MY SPRING CLEANING CHECK LIST

Hey Loves! Hope you’re all enjoying the start of spring 2019- I know many of you enjoy watching my cleaning videos on my YouTube channel, and I’ve been sharing my spring cleaning to-do list in my clean with me videos, but I wanted to share the lists and the videos here in one space to give you some serious deep cleaning motivation. When it comes to spring cleaning, there is just a lot to do, so I know the extra motivation of watching cleaning videos can really help can really help, but in case you’re just getting started or curious about how I approach spring cleaning, I’m sharing my lists with you below!

So when do you spring clean? I always start my spring cleaning in March. How long does it take to spring clean? It depends on the size of your home and the hours you can spend per day, and if you have help if you have kids. If Landon and Presley are at GG’s house, it takes me about 6 days to get through the entire house. I usually spend an entire day organizing each floor, and an entire day doing the spring clean of each floor. So I would budget 6 days total, or if you work outside of your home, plan on a couple weekends, and you should be able to get through your spring cleaning. I hope this blog post helps you know what do clean for spring cleaning, and that the videos give you some cleaning motivation!

FIRST FLOOR CHECKLIST:

• Dust/Clean crystal light fixtures
• Vacuum/Dust blinds (this is my vacuum, and I could not recommend this to you more, especially for spring cleaning tasks like this one!)
• Clean windows
• Clean picture frames, mirrors and TV
• Dust mantle
• Dust shelves
• Dust knickknacks
• Vacuum couch + upholstered chairs
• Wipe down cabinets
• Deep clean kitchen sink
• Clean tables + chairs
• Polish wood furniture
• Disinfect countertops
• Clean microwave
• Clean oven + stove top
• Clean out + organize fridge and freezer
• Clean out + organize pantry
• Clean out + organize coat closet
• Wipe out cabinets and drawers
• Organize cabinets and drawers (if you need some motivation, check out my kitchen konmari video at the bottom of this blog post!)
• Wipe down washer and dryer
• Dust banisters
• Wipe baseboards and molding
• Vacuum carpets and floors
• Mop hard floors (this is my mop, and I love it!)

BEDROOM CHECKLIST:

• Wash bedding (sheets, comforter, pillow cases, quilts)
• Turn mattress
• Change sheets and bedding
• Vacuum/Dust blinds
• Clean windows
• Clean picture frames, mirrors and TV
• Dust shelves
• Dust knickknacks
• Vacuum upholstered chairs and furniture
• Clean out + organize closet (if you need some inspiration, check out my bedroom konmari video at the bottom of this blog post!)
• Wipe out drawers
• Organize drawers
• Disinfect trash bins
• Wipe baseboards and molding
• Vacuum carpets and floors
• Mop hard floors

hBATHROOM CHECKLIST:

• Vacuum/Dust blinds
• Clean windows
• Disinfect toilet (this is the toilet wand I highly recommend!)
• Disinfect shower + tub (this is my rotating scrubbing brush for my jacuzzi tub and to scrub the tile in my shower- it’s amazing!)
• Disinfect sinks (I love this mini scrubbing brush for cleaning around faucets and drains with any build up)
• Clean mirrors
• Wipe down backsplash and tiles
• Disinfect countertops + fixtures
• Wipe down cabinets
• Clean out + organize drawers
• Clean out + organize cabinets
• Wipe baseboards + molding
• Sweep floors + mats
• Mop floors

BASEMENT CHECKLIST:

• Disinfect kids toys
• Wipe down toy storage
• Organize toy storage
• Clean picture frames, mirrors and TV
• Dust shelves + knickknacks
• Vacuum couch + upholstered chairs
• Wipe down cabinets + bar
• Disinfect bar countertops
• Clean tables + chairs
• Clean out + organize storage closet
• Clean out + organize supply closet
• Organize crafts + gift wrap supplies
• Wipe baseboards and molding
• Vacuum carpets and floors
• Steam clean/shampoo carpets
• Mop hard floors
