Anyone who can handle a whole gaggle of children of the same age every single day for hours on end deserves… well, the world! So an Amazon gift card is really the very least we can do, especially when you consider that most teachers end up having to spend their own money on supplies for their classroom. If you’re able, I would always err on the side of generosity, but even the smallest gesture can make a massive impact. A cup of coffee, a glass of wine, whatever you can spare – our teachers deserve it!
I love an Amazon gift card best of all because it gives them the option to use their gift on the classroom or on themselves. Most schools only cover the cost of the bare bones essentials for the classroom, and teachers want to create a stimulating environment for our kids! Those expenses add up. But hey, a little something for yourself never hurt either! Ask your child’s teacher if they have a classroom wishlist so you can cover any specific supplies. And if not, print this gift card holder and sign it with a sweet note!
Starbucks gift cards never go out of style. If you’re looking for a cute way to gift that little piece of plastic, I would use my free printables over putting them in a mug. According to a poll on my Instagram, teachers are literally BEGGING to stop getting mugs as gifts. (A direct quote from one of my followers – “I always appreciate any gift, but I’m not kidding when I say we get gifted a minimum of 5 mugs a year. I have nowhere to put all these coffee cups!!”)
But if you want to give something physical, this is my favorite idea and what I chose for Presley and Landon’s teachers. It’s a little something for before work, and another something for after! Ours have seasonally flavored coffee grounds (you can also do K-cups if your teacher has a Keurig) and a mini bottle of wine! I know in some cases you’ll be gifting these items at school where you can’t exactly bring alcohol on campus. But a nice set of wine glasses or a gift card to a local wine bar would also work perfectly!
