Hey Loves! On top of blogging and my YouTube channel and mom life, I have done some party planner work upon request. It truly is one of those things that brings me so much joy, makes my heart so full, and doesn’t feel like work. So I’m excited to share the pictures from the travel themed bar mitzvah I was the party planner for from over the weekend. I think this theme is perfect for a mitzvah, or any sort of celebration for someone who loves to travel, like a birthday, wedding or baby shower, or going away party. So I hope you enjoy the pictures from the around the world themed party! Let me know how you like the decor. And I’ll let you know some of the special touches that Solomon, the bar mitzvah, had for this exciting celebration!
Most of the decor I ordered online from Amazon (you can check out my shopping list here), or I got some items from the craft store, Hobby Lobby, and local garden shops. Adding the mums to the tables for the kiddish luncheon and to the wine bottles really helped keep the centerpieces light and fresh.
One of my favorite things was putting together the candy table and sweets table. I loved how the all blue candy table turned out, and we had tons of to-go bags so guests could take treats home with them.
One of the ideas Solomon, the bar mitzvah, had was food stations with different cuisines. He picked a Chinese, Mexican, and Italian food menu. There was a taco bar, a pasta bar, and a salad bar. Everything was vegetarian, since that’s the diet he follows. He’s also very environmentally conscious, so all of the plates, napkins, cups, and utensils were biodegradable, which I thought was very cool. I loved all his ideas and special touches that reflected him.
As an alternative to a guest book, I got metallic sharpies and asked guests to sign a globe for Solomon to be able to keep as a memento from this travel celebration.
And what party isn’t complete without a signature drink menu. We planned an Italian Bellini, a Mexican Margarita, and a Chinese Fizz to compliment the three different food stations.
And if you’re interested in seeing how I decorated for the party, check out the video below to see how it all was set up!
Thank you so much for checking out my travel themed party decor blog post! Let me know if you liked the decorations in the comments. I’ll be sure to share any future parties I plan with you as well!
Love,
Brianna K
