I am getting so excited for Super Bowl Sunday, mainly because of the food and the commercials, and I guess there should be a good game, and there’s always the halftime show too. So I wanted to share two extremely easy and delicious dip recipes that are perfect for any Super Bowl Party, and what my to-do list currently looks like for prepping for Super Bowl Sunday, sponsored by Febreze. #ad
There’s no better time to throw a party than during the Super Bowl, but don’t let odors cause an offensive foul on your party! With all the pizza, nachos, and drinks that are going to be served up, you can’t forget the odor-eliminating MVP of any party- Febreze! It saves you and your home from all of those offensive odors, pregame, postgame, and in between.
Cheddar Bacon Dip
This dip has been a staple for every family party and football game for years. It’s a total crowd pleaser, and being from the Midwest, I know you will love it!
Slice the bacon into 1/2 inch chunks and cook until browned. Pat off oil and set aside. Blend sour cream and cream cheese until smooth. Layer into bottom of a 13×9 dish or deep serving plate. Dice up tomato and green onions, and add to top of the cream cheese mixture. Next, add the jar of salsa. Then add the bag of shredded cheese. Top with the crumbled bacon. Best if refrigerated a few hours or overnight before serving. Serve with tortilla chips. Be prepared- this will probably be gone by halftime. I’m pretty sure my mom has made two, and pulled out the second one for half time at Super Bowl parties in the past.
Black Bean Corn Salsa
This salsa is extremely fast and easy to make, and always gets so many compliments.
Chop up the red onion, and mix with a drained can of corn, drained can of black beans, chopped garlic, the juice of the lime. Add chopped cilantro and salt and pepper to taste. If there’s any leftover (which is rare), I love adding this salsa to my chili recipe!
Super Bowl Party Prep Checklist
If you’re hosting a Super Bowl party this year and wondering what to do, here are the things I’ve got on my list:
Thank you again to Febreze for sponsoring this blog post, and if you want to laugh, head over to Febreze’s YouTube page to find a hilarious video (I was laughing so hard- “the bean dip” hahaha), but it shows the odor madness that can ensue at your party WITHOUT Febreze, so don’t forget to include it on your Super Bowl party prep list!!
