HOLIDAY HOMEMAKING W/ ME! | CHRISTMAS PARTY FOOD IDEAS

I’m sharing a homemaking with me blog post full of holiday hacks and Pinterest food ideas for Christmas 2019. You’ll plan, clean, shop, craft, prep and cook with me! All of the things!

I made a video to show you how I did all the prep for a Christmas Brunch Party with my friends and their families. Here’s what I did each day to break up all of the prep work.

Day One: We planned the crafts for our kiddos. My best friend Deena is a teacher and has all of these activities and other amazing ones on her blog. We did gingerbread making stations, grinch ornaments, a cookie decorating station, a few others and they were all so fun! The kids absolutely loved them.

Day Two: I got caught up on laundry and tidying up around the house. While I ate lunch, I started planning for the food I needed to shop for and prep. I wrote out everything, and then added it to my holiday brunch shopping list.

I picked up Landon from school and went to the grocery store. We grabbed all of the things we needed for our brunch and went back home to start prepping everything!

Day Three: I prepped all of the food for the next day. I did some cranberries and rosemary in ice trays with water and froze overnight, so we could have cute and festive ice cubes! I made a Christmas funfetti cake and I added some rosemary in the shape of a tree and cranberries on top. It ended up being so cute! Then we made “Grinch Grapes” with grapes, a banana slice, strawberry and then top with a mini marshmallow and it looks just like the grinch!

Homemaker hack: put your plastic wrap in the fridge while you’re prepping your food and then when you go to cover it is so much easier to place and have it stick.

Another pinterest find, take the core of a pineapple, red and green grapes all around the pineapple and it’s a gorgeous grape Christmas Tree! Similarly, we did a cheese christmas tree. With cheese and grapes too! Which would be perfect for a wine night with girlfriends.

Another hack: “Scentiscles” hang them on your tree, and your whole house will smell like a fresh cut Christmas tree!

Some fun and inexpensive treats bags: grab some bags at the dollar tree, tissue paper, and added some candy canes and Little Debbie Christmas snacks.

DIY Hot Cocoa Bar: I had candy canes, toffee bits, white chocolate chips, marshmallows and some syrups and we all loved this hot cocoa bar!

On the day of the brunch, we all wore super fun Christmas pajamas and it was so fun! We made some Cranberry Mimosas: Dip your glass in some lime juice and then in some red sugar crystals for a little holiday sparkle! Fill the glass with half juice and half champagne and I garnished with a little starfruit slice and it looked so fun and Christmasy!

Bagel ornaments: Mini bagels with cream cheese and quarter cucumber slices, decorate with pepper strips and the kids LOVED these and it’s a sneaky way to have your kiddos eat veggies.

We put out all of the food and set up all of the crafts and activities for the kiddos. The guests arrived shortly after and we all had the best time!

Check out the video below if you’d like to see how I make everything you see in the pictures.

Thanks so much for reading my blog today!
