Planning Your 2022 Thanksgiving Tablescape

Brianna K

Hey, loves! I so wish this blog post had smell-o-vision so I could breathe in all the yummy Thanksgiving food smells in this photo! Even though we're only halfway through October at the time I'm writing this, you guys know that I'm an over-preparer! I like to get ahead of the game so I can really sit back and soak in the family time when the holidays come around.

And since we usually host Thanksgiving every year, that means ordering ahead to make sure I have enough serveware (and a gorgeous tablescape!) to serve everyone! If you're hosting Thanksgiving in 2022, consider this you post for everything you'll need.

And if this is your first time hosting Thanksgiving, or if you'd like to be more organized this time around, I have something really special for you. Last year, I put together the biggest "How To" post I've ever made, along with a YouTube video on how to plan for and host Thanksgiving. Inside, you'll find:

  • My Thanksgiving menu (a traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings)
  • A countdown-style schedule of everything you'll need to get done from 5 days before to 5 minutes before the meal
  • How I use reverse scheduling to stay on top of cooking times with just one oven and stovetop
  • And some of my favorite and most delicious Thanksgiving recipes!

This year, I found so many timeless Thanksgiving table setting options that easily mixed in with what you would already have on hand. Most of the items I found are available from Target or Amazon with really competitive pricing. Plus, I added a few timeless keepsakes from artisan sources like Mackenzie Childs. I can really see myself handing down this collection to Presley one day, so the small investment in quality pieces that we'll use every year is so worth it. Plus, they transition seamlessly to be used for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas decor!

If you're building your collection from the ground up, I would highly recommend starting with a set of classic white serveware. I found so many good staples on Amazon for very reasonable prices. If you're getting married or having a housewarming party, all of these items would be perfect for your registry. If hosting is something you see in your future, you'll be using these pieces year after year.

I hope that planning ahead helps you have a more easy, laid back holiday season. If you need a little bit more motivation, whether it's for cleaning, planning, or just getting through crazy every day life, I hope you enjoy this day in the life vlog. It's a little peek into what my life looks like right now, along with some fun Halloween-themed lunch ideas for the kiddos, a delicious recipe, and more. Bye, loves!
