PREGNANT MOM MORNING ROUTINE

Hey Loves! I wanted to share what my new morning routine looks like these days during the stay home order, and since it’s my first trimester of pregnancy, I have changed my routine quite a bit. My body could not function waking up at 5:00 AM, so for this first trimester, I wanted to respect how my body was feeling, and I have pushed my wake up time to 6:30 AM.

Here is what my schedule looks like in the mornings for me, and my two kiddos, Landon and Presley.

MORNING ROUTINE

  • 6:30 AM WAKE UP + COFFEE
  • 7:00 AM MAKE KIDS BREAKFAST
  • 7:30 AM GET DRESSED
  • 8:00 AM HOMESCHOOL TIME
  • 9:00 AM THROW IN LOAD OF LAUNDRY
  • 9:30 AM TIDY BEDROOMS
  • 10:00 AM WORKOUT WHILE KIDS PLAY
  • 10:45 AM CLEAN UP TOY ROOM
  • 10:55 AM CHANGE OUT LAUNDRY
  • 11:00 AM WALK OUTSIDE
  • 12:30 LUNCH

When I wake up in the morning, I always need a big glass of water along with my coffee. Pregnancy always makes me feel more dehydrated than normal, so I try to get a lot of extra fluids. That also seems to help with pregnancy-related nausea. I also make sure that I take my Ritual Prenatal vitamins every morning. What I love about Ritual is that it contains key nutrients to support your nutrient needs before and during pregnancy.* Not only are they listed out on their site (and their relevance to your pregnancy) but Ritual is extremely transparent about where they source their nutrients from. The amount of information they provide on the nutrients you are putting into your body is amazing and incredibly comforting for a mother to be. Especially during this time when there are so many unknown’s, it is nice to know my nutrient needs are supported when it comes to my prenatal. I don’tΒ  feel nauseous taking Ritual. Their prenatal is vegan friendly, gluten and allergen free, non-GMO, and has no artificial colorants or synthetic fillers. Each bottle also has a lemon tab inside to keep it fresh and the prenatal has a hint of delicious citrusy essence when you take it! So if you’re looking for multi-vitamins to stay on top of your nutrient intake during this time, Ritual offers prenatal and multivitamins formulated for the stage of life you’re in, and they are delivered right to your door. Check them out for your morning routine HERE!

After I take my multi-vitamins, I’ll make breakfast for the kids, which these days all they request are pancakes. Then we’ll get dressed, and begin homeschool.

Homeschool time starts at 8:00 AM, and it does not come naturally to me- we have been in such a routine over the last 2 years of taking Landon to school, and Presley began going a few days this fall, so it’s hard to break them out of our at home routine to do school stuff now. However, I try to not make it strict and just do fun crafts or read books and do fun math and science activities.

Once we’re finished with homeschool at 9:00 AM, I let the kids play while I do laundry and tidy up the house. It’s hard for me to focus during the day if everything feels messy, so I try to clean as I go and include the kids as much as possible so the house doesn’t get out of control.

Around 11:00 AM, when the temperature has warmed up a bit, we will take a walk outside. This is the best part of our day to get some sunshine and some fresh air. When we get back home, I’ll start making lunch, and the kids will usually eat around 12:30 and then go down for naps.

I hope this morning routine helps you as you figure out a schedule that will work for your family. As our family grows, I know I will have to keep adjusting our routine to best meet our needs, but for this stage of pregnancy, it seems to work best for my energy and for the kids to have a nice morning.

Sending you all my love,

Brianna K
